VANCOUVER — The B.C Lions have named Rick Campbell as their new head coach.

Campbell spent the final six seasons as coach of the Ottawa Redblacks, overseeing the membership’s transition from a 2-16 growth workforce in 2014 to Gray Cup champion in 2016.

The Redblacks superior to the Gray Cup last in three of Campbell’s seasons on the helm, ending runner-up in 2015 and 2018.

Campbell introduced he was parting methods with the Redblacks after the workforce struggled to a league-worst Three-15 file this 12 months.

Campbell replaces DeVone Claybrooks, who was fired in early November.
